Every year, I walk in Flora’s Walk because I know how isolating and overwhelming the perinatal period can be. My own postpartum journey was shaped by shame, exhaustion, and a sense of drowning under expectations I could not reach. I remember how alone I felt even when I was surrounded by people who loved me. Flora’s Walk represents something I wish every parent had in those moments. It is a reminder that no one should have to navigate the hardest seasons of parenthood without support, community, and compassion. Showing up each year is my way of standing for every parent who has ever struggled quietly and wondered if they were the only one.

I walk because healing becomes possible when we feel seen. Flora’s Walk raises vital funds for programs that offer real help to families who are hurting, and it shines a light on the importance of mental health in the earliest days of parenthood. My commitment to this walk is rooted in my own story and the stories of so many families I support. It is a promise that we can do better for parents, that we can build communities where no one feels forgotten, and that connection has the power to change lives. Walking each year is my way of giving back and creating hope for families who need it.
